Private Walking Tour of Moscow Center Detailed Description

In the morning, you will visit the following places and sights, and will learn many interesting and fascinating facts about the political, cultural and art history of Moscow znd Russia.

The starting point is Lubyanka Square and Monument to the Victims of Political Repressions. As an option, and subject to availability, we offer a visit to the observation platform atop Soviet-built Children’s World Department Store, from where you can enjoy views of central Moscow.

Our next stop will be Theater Square, with the views (and stories) of the Bolshoi Theater, TsUM Department Store (the historical rival of GUM) and magnificent the Metropole Hotel, which is the finest Art Nouveau building in Moscow.

Red Square is a must-see, so it is on the list. You will see all the key historical structures in Red Square, such as State History Museum, Church of our Lady of Kazan, St. Basil’s Cathedral and, of course, the elegant GUM shopping arcades, where you will have time for lunch at the Soviet themed Canteen 57 café. In the afternoon, after lunch, we will walk through Alexander Gardens to the Kremlin gate, where we will tour the Kremlin Grounds and Cathedrals, and at 4.30pm we will enter the Armoury Museum.
